Woman Who Died and Came Back to Life After Stroke Reveals Exactly What She Saw

A Canadian woman who was clinically close to death after suffering two strokes says she experienced a vivid afterlife vision, including a peaceful garden, a divine light, and a choice to return to life.

A woman who nearly died after suffering two strokes has shared a remarkable account of what she says she experienced while doctors believed she would not survive.

Amber Cavanagh, a psychic medium from Canada, was just 40 years old when she suffered two severe strokes in December 2021. Her condition deteriorated so rapidly that doctors asked her family to come and say goodbye, warning that she was unlikely to survive the helicopter transfer to another hospital.

“My children had to say goodbye”

Speaking earlier this year, Amber said she was conscious but completely trapped inside her body.

“I was very, very near to death. Even my children had to come and say goodbye,” she explained. “I could understand everything people were saying, but I couldn’t speak or respond.”

During this critical period, Amber says her awareness shifted away from her physical body.

A peaceful garden and a divine light

In an interview with the YouTube channel The Other Side NDE, Amber described what she believes was an afterlife experience.

“It was like I closed my eyes and opened them in this beautiful garden,” she said. “The grass and the water felt like nothing I’ve ever experienced in my life. I remember focusing on how it felt beneath my feet.”

She also described seeing a powerful glow, which she referred to as “the light of God.”

“I wasn’t alone,” Amber said. “My guides were there, sitting on a bench. I had known them for a long time.”

Seeing loved ones and lost pets

According to Amber, she could see her husband, her children, and even animals she had lost in the past. She also said she saw one pet that had not yet died but would pass away before she was discharged from hospital.

Amber recalled seeing her mother-in-law as well, though she did not speak to any of them.

“I knew I was there to make a decision,” she said. “Nobody was going to make it for me.”

The choice to return to life

Amber says she was given a clear choice: stay in that peaceful place or return to her life in the physical world.

“I finally decided that I wanted to come back,” she explained. “And just as quickly as I arrived there, I was gone.”

Moments later, doctors managed to stabilize her condition.

A recovery doctors did not expect

Amber spent weeks in hospital following the strokes. Medical staff initially believed she would require lifelong care.

Instead, she made an extraordinary recovery and is now often referred to as a “miracle patient.”

Today, Amber continues to share her story, saying the experience permanently changed her understanding of life, death, and consciousness.
