A new film titled “Melania”, focusing on the life of U.S. First Lady Melania Trump, is set to arrive in cinemas worldwide next month. Melania Trump gave Fox News an exclusive first look at the project, which offers a rare and personal insight into her private and professional life.

The 104-minute film will be released globally on January 30, screening in North America, South America, Europe, Asia, Israel, the United Arab Emirates, and other regions. In addition, Amazon is expected to launch a related documentary series in the coming months.

“The story unfolds over the 20 days of my life leading up to the presidential inauguration in the United States,” the First Lady told Fox News.

An Unprecedented Look Behind the Scenes

“For the first time, a global audience is invited into cinemas to witness the development of this pivotal chapter, offering a private and uncensored look at how I navigated family, work, and philanthropy on my extraordinary journey to becoming First Lady of the United States,” Melania Trump said.

Fox News obtained exclusive access to the trailer, which opens with the First Lady entering the U.S. Capitol Rotunda ahead of her husband’s second inauguration. Dressed in her now-iconic inaugural outfit, she looks directly into the camera and says, “Here we go again.”

The trailer transitions between scenes of the presidential inauguration, intimate moments with President Donald Trump at Mar-a-Lago, behind-the-scenes footage featuring their son Barron Trump and Melania’s father, as well as shots of Air Force One, the presidential seal, and other symbolic imagery. The iconic MGM lion then fills the screen.

One scene shows Melania Trump entering a room where President Trump is rehearsing a speech.

“My proudest legacy will be that of a peacemaker,” President Trump says.

“Peacemaker and unifier,” the First Lady interjects.

The trailer continues with scenes of Melania Trump arriving in black stiletto heels, walking through the East Wing of the White House, and smiling at the camera while wearing her striking black-and-white inaugural gown.

“Witness the Making of History”

The trailer invites audiences to “witness the making of history,” showcasing moments of the First Lady reviewing documents with her team and preparing for official duties.

Another scene shows her asking a security agent, “Is it safe?” before sirens and a presidential motorcade appear on screen.

“20 days to becoming First Lady of the United States,” reads the text on screen.

“Everyone wants to know,” Melania Trump says. “Now you know.”

The trailer concludes with a phone call in which Melania congratulates “Mr. President.”

“Did you watch it?” Donald Trump asks.

“No. I’ll see it on the news,” she replies.

Record-Breaking Deal and Global Distribution

The film is scheduled for global theatrical release on January 30. Melania Trump said the story had “never been told before” and emphasized that, due to its historical significance, it required the highest production standards and exclusive cinematic distribution.

Fox News reports that Melania Trump was involved in every aspect of the film, from creative vision and producing to post-production marketing. Sources familiar with the project described her involvement as extensive from start to finish.

The idea for the film originated in November 2024, shortly after Donald Trump won the presidential election. Negotiations with Amazon began on November 18, led by Melania Trump’s agent and senior advisor Mark Beckman.

Multiple studios, including Disney, Netflix, and Paramount, reportedly competed for the rights. Amazon and MGM ultimately secured the license for $40 million, marking the largest documentary deal in history.

Filming began in December 2024. The film was executive produced by Donald Trump and Fernando Sulichin of New Element Media, with Brett Ratner serving as director.

Produced in a highly cinematic style, the film intentionally avoids the traditional documentary format, aiming instead for a “premium, elevated film experience.”

The release comes one year after the publication of Melania Trump’s memoir “Melania”, which topped The New York Times bestseller list and offered readers an intimate portrait of her life, including personal stories and previously unseen family photographs.
