
The identity of the brave man who heroically confronted and disarmed one of the attackers during the mass shooting at Bondi Beach in Sydney has been revealed. He is Ahmed al Ahmed, a 43-year-old fruit shop owner from Sutherland and a father of two.
According to his cousin Mustafa, Ahmed was shot twice while courageously facing the armed attacker.
“He is in the hospital, and we don’t yet know exactly what is happening inside,” Mustafa told 7News.

Australian media report that Ahmed al Ahmed is Muslim, and his extraordinary act of bravery has left many deeply moved. His intervention is believed to have saved countless lives among the crowd gathered to celebrate Hanukkah at the beach.
Ahmed is currently preparing for surgery due to the gunshot wounds he sustained during the attack.

The mass shooting at Bondi Beach claimed at least 12 lives, while 29 people were injured, including two police officers. The attack targeted a Jewish event marking the Festival of Lights, Hanukkah.
Australian police confirmed that one of the attackers was killed, and the incident has been officially classified as a terrorist attack.
